The Origin Of Kopi Luwak or Civet CoffeeI like seeing photos of exotic animals. I know the species that live in the region where I live. I actually am an amateur wildlife photographer. I spend time reading books and looking online at different animals around the world that I would like to possibly photograph one day. I have seen some unique animals, and got an idea to maybe make a book of animals and our food. Not ones we eat, but ones we get foods from such as cows and their milk and birds and their eggs. Then I discovered kopi luwak coffee and its unique origin.

I would have never thought in a million years that people would drink coffee made in this manner. I would also never have thought that they would consider it a highly valued gourmet beverage served in the finest restaurants and coffee houses. When I was checking out the animals that live in Asia, I found that there is an animal called a civet that lives in parts of Africa but mostly in southeast Asia. It looks a bit like a cat. It is not very big.
